He was born in Kütahya in 1953. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Chemistry as a Chemical Engineer.
He founded Özgümüş Tekstil Dye and Finishing Factory in 1979, starting from scratch.
He has established 5 full-fledged factories with his team so far. There are currently more than 500 employees in these facilities, and 350 people work in the facilities that are currently operating.
The Gülümser Hatun Thermal Timeshare project in Kütahya / Yoncalı, which was initiated by 4 partners, continues at full speed these days. It has taken its place in the sector as the largest thermal time-share project of Turkey and the region.

He was the founding board member of Bursa International Textile Trade Center (BUTTİM), the biggest project of his time worth 200 million marks, and served as the general secretary and board of directors until the facility was delivered to its members.
He served as the President of Bursa Sport Aviation Club and on the boards of directors of DOSAB and DOSABSİAD for 10 years, respectively.
He is the vice chairman of the board of directors that enabled DOSAB to obtain legal entity status in 2000.
He served as the President of DOSABSİAD between 2005 and 2007 and on the board of directors of the Marmara and Northern Anatolia Industrial Businessmen Federation.
